About Artillery

Artillery is the long-range cousin of Panzi Panzer. You sit at a fixed gun position and rain parabolic shells down on enemy targets across the battlefield. Aiming is the entire game: drag the mouse to set angle and power, watch the dotted arc preview update in real-time, and release to fire. Shells take a second to land. Wind pushes them sideways. Targets move slowly along the terrain. You have limited shells per mission – waste them and you fail.

Controls

  • Click and hold anywhere on the map to aim. The dotted arc shows where the shell will land.
  • Drag to adjust – farther from your position = higher power.
  • Release to fire.
  • Each shell takes about a second to land. You can’t fire while one is in flight.
  • Wind pushes shells horizontally – check the wind indicator at the top of the canvas and lead your shots.

Upgrade Tree

  • Warhead – more damage per shell
  • Blast Radius – bigger splash damage zone (the yellow ring on the aim preview)
  • Magazine – more shells per mission
  • Targeting – less random aim drift (each shell has a small accuracy roll)
  • All upgrades save to localStorage and persist across sessions

Strategy Tips

  • Splash beats precision. Aim near groups of targets to damage multiples with one shell.
  • Lead moving targets. They drift slowly while the shell is in flight – aim where they’ll be in 60 frames, not where they are now.
  • Wind compounds. A +0.5 wind over a 60-frame flight is +30px of drift. Adjust your aim point.
  • Blast Radius is the best early upgrade. Bigger splash = more forgiving aiming.
  • Save Magazine for later missions. Early on, 6 shells is plenty.

FAQ

Why does my shell miss when the arc looked right?

Three reasons: (1) Random aim drift – upgrade Targeting to reduce it. (2) Moving targets – they drift while the shell is in flight. (3) Wind – the arc preview accounts for wind, but check that you’re reading the right direction.

What if I run out of shells without clearing targets?

Mission failed. Click New Op to retry – your scrap and upgrades carry forward.

How does wind work?

Wind is a constant horizontal acceleration on the shell. Each mission has random wind from -level×2 to +level×2. Late-game missions have stronger wind.

Does scrap save between sessions?

Yes – localStorage. Upgrades persist.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes. Touch and drag to aim, release to fire.
