About Sniper
Sniper is the stealth-shooter cousin to Panzi Panzer. Same top-down feel, completely different combat philosophy. You don’t roll into the fight – you sit at a hidden vantage point, sweep your scope cone across the battlefield, and pick off enemies one by one through line of sight. Rocks block your shots AND theirs. Trees provide visual concealment. Each kill earns scrap. Spend scrap between missions on a persistent upgrade tree – your scope range, caliber, reload speed, scope width, and armor all carry forward.
Controls
- Mouse rotates your scope cone. Only enemies inside the cone AND with clear line of sight are visible.
- Click or SPACE fires. Slight reload between shots.
- Upgrades button opens the shop between missions. Spend scrap on Range, Caliber, Scope Width, Bolt Cycle, Body Armor.
- Start / Pause toggles the mission.
How to Play
- The map starts dark. Your vision cone is the only lit area. Sweep the mouse to scan.
- Rocks block both your shots and your vision. Trees only block vision.
- Enemies wander. If an enemy gets line of sight to your position, they become alerted (marked with !) and start firing back.
- Each kill = scrap. Clear all enemies = mission complete + bonus scrap.
- Between missions, click Upgrades to spend scrap. Then Start to advance to the next mission.
- Best mission you’ve reached saves to localStorage.
Strategy Tips
- Sweep before you engage. Find every enemy you can before firing – they only alert when you take a shot or they get LOS to you.
- Use rocks as cover. Position your shots so a rock is between you and other enemies – they can’t return fire.
- Range is king. Upgrading Optic Range first lets you see and shoot enemies before they see you.
- Scope Width = peripheral vision. A wider cone catches flanking enemies but reduces aim precision pressure.
- Reload speed matters in late missions. When 3+ enemies alert at once, you need to clear them fast.
- Armor saves you from missed shots. But avoidance beats armor – stay hidden.
FAQ
How do I see enemies?
An enemy must be inside your scope cone AND have a clear straight line to your position (no rocks in the way). Trees don’t block your vision but they DO conceal enemies – approach with caution.
Why won’t my shot connect?
The shot has to actually pass through the enemy. Aim at the enemy itself, not just somewhere on the screen. The crosshair turns green when your mouse is inside the cone.
Does scrap save between sessions?
Yes. Scrap and upgrades are stored in your browser’s localStorage and persist across visits.
Can I play on mobile?
Yes. Tap to aim and fire at the same time (the tap position sets both aim and fires the shot).
What’s the highest mission?
There’s no cap. Each mission adds enemies and they hit a bit harder. The Best tracker shows the furthest mission you’ve reached.
