How to Play Neon Bastion
Your bastion sits in the center of the map. Attackers spawn from the edges and walk toward it. If they reach the bastion, they damage it. Lose all bastion HP and the run ends.
Buildings
- Wall ($5) — Cheap blocker. Slows enemies and gives turrets time to fire. 50 HP.
- Turret ($25) — Auto-fires at the nearest enemy in range. 8 damage per shot, fires every 0.6 seconds.
- Generator ($40) — Earns 2 coins every 2.2 seconds. Pays for itself in about 45 seconds, then it’s free coins forever.
Enemies
- Grunt (cyan) — Standard attacker. Steady walk, moderate HP, 5 coins.
- Speeder (blue) — Fast and fragile. 8 coins.
- Tank (purple) — Slow and tough. 18 coins.
- Boss (red, every 5th wave) — Massive HP and damage. 80 coins.
Controls
- 1, 2, 3 — Select Wall, Turret, or Generator
- Click / Tap — Place the selected building
- Esc — Deselect
- P — Pause · F — Fullscreen · M — Mute
Tips & Strategy
- Generators first. A generator placed early pays back many times by wave 5. Build at least 2 in your first wave-clear bonus.
- Funnel with walls. Walls cost almost nothing — chain them to force enemies into long winding paths past your turrets.
- Turret coverage. Each turret covers about 5 tiles. Place them with overlapping ranges so multiple turrets fire on the same enemy.
- Save for bosses. Every 5th wave is a boss. Stockpile coins before wave 5, 10, 15 for emergency turrets.
- Heal on wave-clear. Surviving each wave restores 15 bastion HP. Don’t be afraid to take a hit if it means saving coins.

Why can’t I place a building?
You can’t place on top of the central bastion or on top of an existing building. Also check your coin count — each building has a cost displayed on its menu button.
